Our Commitment
VacStak is designed to serve the full spectrum of the agricultural and veterinary community — including farmers, veterinarians, researchers, and extension agents who use assistive technology. NumeriXGPT LLC is committed to ensuring VacStak is perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for all users.
We target conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, which is required for federal institutional partnership eligibility with USDA-APHIS and land-grant veterinary programs.
Section 508 compliance is a prerequisite for formal institutional partnerships with USDA-APHIS Veterinary Services and federally funded veterinary school programs. A third-party WCAG 2.1 AA audit across all VS storefronts is scheduled for Q2 2026.
Current Accessibility Status
VacStak is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We have completed foundational accessibility work and are actively remediating known gaps across all 13 VS storefronts.
Partial conformance means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA. The known limitations below identify the areas currently being remediated. We expect full conformance following the Q2 2026 third-party audit.
Measures We Have Taken
The following accessibility measures are implemented and confirmed across VacStak's VS storefronts:
- Color contrast — all text meets the 4.5:1 minimum contrast ratio against backgrounds; large text meets 3:1. VacStak's navy/teal palette was designed with contrast compliance in mind.
- Responsive design — all VS calculator pages are fully functional on mobile devices with no horizontal scrolling on standard viewport widths
- Semantic HTML — pages use logical heading hierarchies (H1–H3) with no skipped levels
- Alt text — all meaningful images have descriptive alternative text; decorative images are marked as presentational
- HTTPS — all pages served over HTTPS with valid TLS certificates
- Readable font sizes — base body text set at 16px equivalent; no text below 12px in critical content areas
- Plain language — calculator descriptions target an 8th grade reading level per Plain Writing Act guidance
Known Limitations
We are aware of the following accessibility gaps currently under remediation:
- Keyboard navigation — some VS calculator input fields and interactive elements do not yet have fully visible focus indicators for keyboard-only users. Remediation in progress across all 13 VS storefronts.
- Screen reader compatibility — ARIA labels, roles, and landmark regions are not yet fully implemented on all calculator input groups and output sections. Active remediation targeting VS0–VS6 first.
- Form error messages — some calculator input validation errors are not yet associated with their fields in a screen-reader-accessible manner.
- Skip navigation link — a skip-to-main-content link for keyboard and screen reader users is planned for Q2 2026 across all VS storefronts.
We prioritize remediation of Critical barriers (keyboard navigation, screen reader compatibility) before the Q2 2026 third-party audit.
Assistive Technology Compatibility
VacStak is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies. Testing is ongoing:
- Screen readers — NVDA and JAWS on Windows; VoiceOver on macOS and iOS
- Keyboard-only navigation — all VS calculators are designed to be fully operable via keyboard (Tab, Enter, Arrow keys)
- Browser zoom — all pages remain fully functional at 200% browser zoom without loss of content or functionality
- High contrast mode — VacStak's navy/teal color tokens maintain accessibility in Windows High Contrast mode
- Mobile screen readers — TalkBack on Android; VoiceOver on iOS
VacStak is tested and supported on current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. Internet Explorer is not supported.
